Drug Rehab

Drug and alcohol dependence kept me from living a happy life until I found help through drug rehab. My life was changed one night when I overdosed and woke up in the hospital. The doctor told me if I used again I would probably die because my heart couldn't take it any more. I was scared at that point that I might die because I knew I couldn't stop on my own so I told my parents that I had a drug and alcohol dependence and that I needed help to go into drug rehab. They were surprised that their little girl could even have done such a thing but, they helped me and paid for treatment. It's been 3 years since I went through treatment and I'm happier than ever! When drug rehab is needed some of the questions that arise are ones such as what type of rehab is better inpatient or outpatient, should I go with 12 step or non traditional treatment?
